The Leadership of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine

History

Born July 4, 1970 in Taraz (Jambyl), Kazakhstan.

Graduated from the Kyiv High Combined Arms Commanding College, the Kyiv Linguistic University, the Academy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Also attended the course for NATO staff officers at the Netherlands Army Staff College and the Canadian Forces School of Military Intelligence.

Served in special forces units, in top positions in the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine.

In 1999–2002 served as a Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.

In 2014–2015 headed the Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In 2015–2016 — Chief of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

From 2016 to 2019 — Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine.

Candidate of Economic Sciences.

Took part in the peacekeeping mission in Iraq.

Participant of the ATO.

Awards: the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd Class, and the medal “For Military Service to Ukraine”.

Married with  three sons and a daughter.

June 5, 2020, by Decree of the President of Ukraine № 212/2020, was appointed the Chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

 

Alieksieienko Andrii Viktorovych

History

Born July 29, 1963 in Chernihiv region.

In 1990 graduated from the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University.

Worked in various posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

November 27, 2017, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 389/2017, was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
