Speaking to the staff of the Service, Chairman of the SZRU, Lieutenant General Valerii Kondratiuk pointed out that Ukraine has been resisting the Russian Federation's hybrid aggression for six years. “We survived the first, most difficult years of the war. The state, its armed forces and special services have gained unique experience in defending national interests. This gives hope for peace on Ukrainian land. However, it is not the time to relax”, the Chairman of the SZRU said.
The state leadership has highly estimated the role of intelligence officers in defending Ukraine's national interests. On the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine, 9 employees of SZRU were awarded state and government awards, more than 140 servicemen and employees were awarded departmental awards for dedication in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as high achievements in operational and service activity. On the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, many intelligence officers received military ranks ahead of schedule, and their families received certificates for service housing.
Chairman of the SZRU Valerii Kondratiuk expressed his gratitude to the employees of all structural subdivisions who honestly work on collecting intelligence and contribute to strengthening the national security of Ukraine. And quoted President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy's emotional and vivid words said at the meeting with the leadership of the SZRU: “Never, under any difficult circumstances, even if they involve a risk to life and freedom, never lose confidence in our people and our state. Remain courageous and steadfast in your devotion to serving the people of Ukraine. Ukraine will never leave or abandon its sons and daughters”.
