A Meeting of the Council of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War Was Held Under the Chairmanship of the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine

Under the chairmanship of Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko, a regular meeting of the Council of the Coordination Headquarters  for the Treatment of Prisoners of War was held. The meeting was attended by Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk, Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, Secretary of the Coordination Headquarters Dmytro Usov, as well as other officials of ministries and agencies.

During the meeting, the legal aspects of the activities of the Coordination Headquarters, the Negotiation Team and the Public Council of the Coordination Headquarters were discussed.

Separately, the Council members considered the Concept of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

They also discussed the mechanism of introducing additional remuneration for military servicemen for capturing servicemen of the aggressor state.

The Council members paid special attention to the issue of communication between central executive authorities and family members of the missing in action and prisoners of war.

As a result of the meeting, the participants determined priority areas for further work and urgent measures for rescuing Ukrainian defenders from the aggressor state captivity.
