Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko has reported to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the foreign policy situation around Ukraine and the economic situation in russia – the dependence of its companies and state system on China’s investments, technologies and political priorities.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has recorded the intensification of the de facto desovereignisation of part of russia’s territory in favour of China. This first of all concerns the use of resource-rich lands and the sale of deficit resources to China. China is taking steps to intensify cooperation with russia, particularly in the military industry. Intelligence services of our partners have similar information.

The President has instructed the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine to monitor cooperation between moscow and Beijing more closely in all aspects concerning Ukraine’s national interests and in all aspects concerning the interests of our partners in Europe and America.

“Global security must not lose out because russia’s appetite for aggression is not decreasing”,  the President pointed out.

Oleh Ivashchenko has also reported on political campaigns launched by russia, in particular to destabilize Ukraine. Our state will counteract and block the activities of all entities that help the enemy. Separately, they discussed the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine’s intensive work  aimed at  returning   Ukrainian children and exchanging prisoners.
