“Such patriotic symbols as a commemorative coin dedicated to the Foreign Intelligence Service are extremely necessary today for the Ukrainian society’s consolidation around a common goal – our Victory. The commemorative coin is a sign of honor and recognition of the achievements of Ukrainian intelligence officers who, together with other components of the Defense Forces, continue to fulfill their mission with honor and dignity in the difficult conditions of the war with the russian aggressor. The coin perpetuates the Foreign Intelligence officers’ contribution to ensuring national security and sovereignty of our country, testifies to the high responsibility and professionalism of intelligence officers whose work remains non-public, – Oleh Ivashchenko emphasized.
“Representatives of the modern Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine are true professionals, thanks to whom is obtained intelligence information necessary for making strategic state decisions, especially in matters of defending the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Although the successes and achievements of the Foreign Intelligence Service remain largely hidden, we understand your extremely important role in protecting Ukraine from external threats. Therefore, our new coin is a sincere dedication to the invincibility, sharp minds and strength of spirit of the heroes who belong to the ranks of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, said Andrii Pyshnyi.
During the presentation, the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine handed to Andrii Pyshnyi the Service's medal “Commitment and Honor, First Class”.

There is a cross in the center of the coin. It is the main element of the new symbols and departmental decorations of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. In the center of the cross there is the sign of the Princely State of Volodymyr the Great (trident), framed by the Service's motto in Latin – “OMNIA VINCIT VERITAS” (“TRUTH CONQUERS ALL”). The outline of the globe with continents around the center symbolizes the spatial scope of the Service's intelligence activities.
The reverse of the coin features a stylized trident, around which the words of a well-known Ukrainian politician and public figure are encrypted in numbers. The cipher of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the code word chosen by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine were used for encoding. Anyone who wishes is welcome to decipher this sentence.
Six months after the coin is put into circulation, the decrypted text will be available on the official website of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and in the Numismatic Products Catalogue on the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine.
