The Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939-1945
5/8/2025

On the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine honors the feat of the Ukrainian people and the outstanding contribution of Ukrainian warriors as part of the Anti-Hitler Coalition in the defeat of the Nazi invaders.
Immortalizing the memory of those who died in World War II, which was launched by two totalitarian regimes with the tacit unwillingness of the world’s most powerful states to resist the aggressors, we express our respect and gratitude to all those who fought against Nazism and evil.
On this day, we bow our heads in respect for those who died on the front lines, in trenches, during bombings, in captivity, in concentration camps, or simply disappeared in the whirlwind of war. Nearly 65 million people were killed in the worst war of the 20th century, about 10 million Ukrainians included.
The victory over Nazism was achieved thanks to the incredible concentration of all forces, mutual assistance, consolidation, and solidarity of the world in the interests of fighting the evil.
We remember! We are winning!
