On the eve of the 80th  anniversary of the victory in the so-called “great patriotic war,” russian authorities are actively promoting the activities of the “pobeda 9/45” (“victory 9/45” – Transl.) propaganda movement.

The project’s leader is deputy speaker of the state duma boris chernyshov, who is under Western sanctions for supporting russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.

In just the first three months of the rf’s launch of the “pobeda  9/45” project, representative offices were opened in eight countries, including Armenia, Kazakhstan, belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan, and the EU states  – Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The movement organizes cultural events, car rallies, and film screenings, as well as initiates humanitarian projects such as the restoration of soviet war graves. However, in reality, they are ideologically colored and serve to promote russian historical interpretations that contradict the international consensus on World War II.
