The US Department of State has decided to sell to Ukraine a $105 million package of services for the modernization of Patriot air defense systems.
Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez has announced plans to approve additional EUR 615 million in military aid to Ukraine within a month. EUR 300 million of this amount is earmarked for the implementation of a security agreement under which Spain has agreed to allocate EUR 1 billion annually for military support to Ukraine. EUR 100 million will be allocated under the PURL instrument for NATO countries to purchase weapons for Ukraine in the USA, and EUR 215 million will be allocated through the EU SAFE instrument for the purchase of anti-drone products, radars, and equipment, manufactured by Spanish companies.
Norway will allocate additional $3 million for demining in Ukraine.
Next week, the German company Rheinmetall will deliver to Ukraine the first Skyranger 35 anti-aircraft system, mounted on a Leopard 1 tank chassis.
Sweden will increase its contributions to Ukraine’s “green” recovery fund by EUR 23 million.
The European Union has announced EUR 3 million in support for independent Ukrainian media.
Ukraine and Greece have agreed to jointly produce surface drones using technologies from Ukrainian and Greek companies.
UkrOboronProm and the Czech company Air Team have signed an agreement on the joint development and production of air target interception technology for the security of Ukrainian airspace.
The heads of government of Canada and Sweden, Mark Carney and Ulf Kristersson, have emphasized in a joint statement that their countries will continue to support Ukraine’s unwavering path to NATO.
“If we do mean what we say – that Ukraine is fighting not only for itself but also for us, that it is waging a war that any democracy may be forced to wage – then we need to act more decisively. We really need to put into practice what we say at meetings. And I will still say that there is room for improvement in this area,” said Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson.
“This ruthless violence proves that real peace can only be achieved through pressure on moscow. Sanctions, isolation, and accountability must continue,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna regarding russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on November 19.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas believes that russia’s attacks on the EU, including sabotage on the Polish railway, should be classified as terrorism.
The US Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on five russians and seven organizations over “cybersecurity issues”. The new restrictions have been imposed on the basis of “regulatory actions regarding sanctions related to Ukraine and russia”, as well as the CAATSA law.
Minister of Defence of the FRG Boris Pistorius has said that russia is intensifying hybrid attacks against European states to test their resilience, including in the Baltic Sea. Pistorius has called on European allies to quickly build up the continent’s defense capabilities, pointing to the growing threat from the rf.
