The “Power of Siberia” gas pipeline, even after reaching its full capacity (38 billion cubic meters), will compensate for only a fifth of the lost volumes. Years of negotiations with China on a new gas contract were to no avail, and later the project of gas hub in Turkey also failed.

In belarus, 33 more people have been added to the list of persons involved in “extremist activities”. All of the people included into the list on June 27, were convicted under articles used by the authorities for political persecution.
