Against the background of “high demand and unscheduled shutdowns of oil refineries” in russia, petrol supplies from belarus via the St. Petersburg Exchange have resumed. This happened after an almost year-long pause that began in the autumn of 2024.

Between July and September 2025, 96,900 tons of belarusian petroleum products were sold at auction – by 36 % more than in the same period last year. In September, sales of petrol from belarusian refineries increased by 168 % compared to August, and diesel fuel sales – by 83 %.

In parallel, the rf and the rb continue to cooperate in the military-industrial sphere. At the “INNOPROM. belarus” exhibition, the Orsha-based company Kidma Tek (a manufacturer of automatic weapons, sniper rifles, silencers, cartridges, and optics) signed a contract with the russian Tula Cartridge Plant.

Officially, this is a “contract for the supply of civilian products”. At the same time, it has been reported on numerous occasions that Kidma Tek works specifically for military needs. Both companies are subject to international sanctions.

moscow is increasingly forcing minsk to support the russian economy and defense sector, using belarusian resources to cover its own critical needs.
