Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko has reported to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the first detailed assessments of the impact on russia’s military machine of new sanctions imposed by partners. Based on this information, communication with partners in the preparation of new sanctions will be adjusted.

russia has already suffered significant losses from the restrictions earlier imposed on oil companies, and it is expected that if principled and consistent pressure on moscow continues, their losses from the recent restrictions alone will amount to at least $50 billion per year.

“There will be even more sanctions from our partners, and we already have signs of this. The volume of oil supplies from Arab countries to the world market can definitely prevent any destabilization and price jumps in the market, with which the russians are threatening,” – the President is convinced.

Regular data exchange with key countries on russian individuals and schemes that deserve sanctions has also been established, and our partners take  into consideration most of our proposals. Measures concerning russia’s tanker fleet, which were discussed with European leaders at the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, must also be fully implemented.

Besides, the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has reported on the mood and immediate plans of the Chinese leadership in the context of russia’s war against Ukraine.

“It is important that China join the efforts to stop russia’s constant attempts to expand and prolong the war. Our diplomats will receive appropriate instructions based on information about the meetings that took place in the region these days. Thank you to everyone who is helping!” the President concluded.
