The Head of Section for Public Finance, Business Support, and Social Policies at the EU Delegation to Ukraine has said that the European Union is recording Ukraine’s progress under the Ukraine Facility plan. Our country may receive the next tranche in the near future. “If the August tranche is approved by the EU Council, the total disbursement will reach EUR 23 billion”, said Henrik Wittfelt.

The USA’s Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker believes that the supply of US weapons to Ukraine will bring the rf back to the negotiating table, and that US President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff’s visit to moscow may lead to a breakthrough.

The Estonian police, together with the Tallinn Rotary Club, have sent 22 police cars to Ukraine.

Estonia has begun to install new barriers on the border with russia – a massive metal gate has been erected in Narva, on the Druzhba Bridge connecting the country to the russian city of Ivangorod.

Kazakhstan has given contracts for the construction of two nuclear power plants to China instead of to  russia.

The “Neptune” Central Design Bureau JSC, a designer and manufacturer of cruise ships and hovercrafts, has been declared bankrupt. The reason for the bankruptcy was the inability to fulfill its obligations to suppliers and contractors. “Neptune” has faced foreign suppliers’ unilateral refusal to buy its equipment and components, while  the cost of goods of the Central Design Bureau has  significantly increased due to the rise in the price of raw materials and equipment.

Director for energy at “russian railways” Sanko has been arrested in a case of embezzlement of more than 1 billion rubles.

Poland has purchased 5,000 video cameras and 2,000 infrared lights to control the border with belarus, where there is a threat of illegal migrants.

Over the past 10 years, the number of marriages in belarus has decreased by 45 %. In 2024, 46.2 thousand marriages and 34.9 thousand divorces were registered in belarus. Looking at relative figures, in 2024, there were 5.1 marriages for every thousand inhabitants, while in 2014 this ratio was 8.9.
