US President Donald Trump believes that a trilateral meeting with participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and putin will take place. “I don't know about a bilateral meeting, but a trilateral one will happen,” Trump said.
“Ukraine has been waiting for a ceasefire agreement for 172 days. putin has not budged an inch. They do not want peace and real negotiations. This is evidenced by the recent attack on Kyiv,” – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský said that at an informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers, among other things, they discussed how to make russia sit down at the negotiating table.
During a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi agreed that a ceasefire would signal that russia is ready for negotiations.
Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz believes that putin was only pretending to be ready for personal negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “I strongly advocate that we – Europeans, together with the US government, carefully coordinate our next steps,” said the Chancellor.

Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union have discussed possible options for further sanctions pressure on russia. “The options include secondary sanctions against those who support russia’s war, as well as bans on imports and tariffs on russian products,” said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
Chancellor of the FRG Friedrich Merz has explained the expansion of voluntary military service in Germany by citing the russian threat. “He (putin) wants to restore the old Soviet Union. And that includes part of my country,” Merz said.
