European leaders have pledged their continued support for Ukraine.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said his country will support Ukraine in its struggle and continue to provide military and humanitarian aid. He has also proposed cooperating with the USA to develop a peace plan for Ukraine based on the 20-point plan that President Donald Trump’s administration proposed for Gaza.
“We remain resolute in our support for Ukraine. This includes military and financial assistance, security guarantees, a ceasefire, and a peace process. The work continues. Nobody wants to see this war end more than the Ukrainians do,” said President of Finland Alexander Stubb.
“What we need is not so much the power of the carrot to convince russia to the negotiating table, it’s more of the stick that will bring them. Therefore, russia must be forced to come to the negotiating table for peace and that’s the deal President Trump is trying to make,” Alexander Stubb also pointed out. He stated that Finland will never recognize the occupied Crimean Peninsula, or Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as part of russia.
“After yesterday’s President Zelenskyy’s talks at the White House and with European leaders, one thing became absolutely clear: Europe’s solidarity with Ukraine against russia’s aggression is more important today than ever before,” said Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
“There can be no decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine,” – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Wadephul is convinced that the Ukrainian side should participate in the meeting between US President Donald Trump and putin in Budapest.

The legal battle between russia and former shareholders of the “Yukos” oil company, which was on for more than 10 years, ended unfavorably for the kremlin. The Supreme Court of the Netherlands rejected the russian side’s appeal against the lower courts’ decision, which ordered moscow to pay $50 billion for the expropriation of the assets of what was once russia’s largest oil company.
Montenegro, which remains a visa-free country for russians, allowing entry for up to 30 days, will soon give up this practice. This was announced by the country’s President Jakov Milatović.

The region’s draft budget shows an official deficit of 30 billion rubles for 2026.
Teachers from at least 12 regions of the rf have faced the cancellation of incentive payments, which significantly affect their salaries. The list of cancelled payments includes rural allowances, additional payments for category, length of service, classroom management, class supervision and correcting exercise–books. In Sverdlovsk region, members of election commissions in districts where Denis Pasler, the governor of the region from “United russia”, received less than 50 % of the vote, were deprived of additional remuneration for their work during the elections.
After the introduction of strict restrictions on alcohol sales in Vologda region, alcohol consumption per capita continued to grow, contrary to the authorities’ expectations. From January to September, the region had seen a steady increase in alcohol consumption, calculated in terms of pure alcohol.
Authorities of the rb are going to increase income tax to 40 % for part of the population.
