The PACE Committee on  Legal Affairs proposes transferring frozen russian assets to Ukraine based on rulings by the European Court of Human Rights. According to legal experts, this could constitute a lawful countermeasure and would be in accordance with international law.

Members of the European Parliament have sent a letter to EU leaders in support of the idea of resuming work on a plan to use russia’s frozen reserves to finance Ukraine.

“I know there will always be people who will tell you: ‘Oh, if only you would sit down at the negotiating table with putin and do this and that…’ This is a long-term problem. This is a threat. He also reported that Germany is increasing its defense spending amid the rf’s intensifying hybrid campaigns against NATO. The Foreign Minister pointed out  that following the drone incident at Leipzig Airport, the threat from russia has become particularly palpable.

Authorities of the FRG are expelling 150 russians from the country – diplomats from several missions and their family members. The persona non grata must leave the country no later than September 18.

Germany has delivered another shipment of equipment to Ukraine to support the latter’s  energy and medical infrastructure.
