The US President Administration considers imposing tough sanctions on russia. The restrictions are intended to affect the “shadow fleet” of the rf.
Half of the US Senate – 25 republicans and 25 Democrats – on Tuesday submitted a bipartisan bill, which provides for sanction pressure on russia if moscow hinders a peaceful settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war. The measures offered include barrier duties of 500 % for goods imported into the United States from countries that buy russian oil, gas and uranium. “The dominant view in the United States Senate is that russia is the aggressor and that this horrific war and putin’s aggression must end now and be deterred in the future,” reads the joint statement.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Baerbock has ruled out the possibility of restarting the Nord Stream-2 against the background of speculations regarding the convergence of US and russian positions. “And of course, there will be no such economic projects because they are dangerous to our security,” said Baerbock.
