Estonia intends to sign a bilateral agreement on security cooperation with Ukraine.

Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis has confirmed that next week the EU executive body will prepare a draft “negotiation framework” for Ukraine, which it will recommend to the member states to approve after our country fulfills all the requirements.

The next meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (Ramstein format) will take place on March 19, at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Lithuania will allocate EUR 5 million to rebuild schools and kindergartens destroyed during the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine and Turkiye have signed an agreement to establish a system for the electronic exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles moving between the two countries.

The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has imposed sanctions against a russian limited liability company broker expert and the Central African Republic’s company Bois Rouge SARLU. It is pointed out that the sanctions have been imposed “for their efforts to facilitate the rf's harmful activities in the Central African Republic”, in particular, providing material and financial support to the international terrorist organization of russian origin, “wagner”, as well as receiving income from illegal extraction of natural resources.

The central bank of the rf has extended until September 9, 2024 the introduced in March 2022 restrictions on withdrawals of foreign currency in cash by russians – no more than $10 thousand or the equivalent amount in Euros, while the rest of the withdrawals from foreign currency accounts and deposits are still issued in rubles.

In the rf, money transferred in foreign currency without opening a bank account and through electronic wallets is issued only in rubles.

The rf has more than 15 thousand international treaties, most of which were signed, as the russian authorities now say, “with unfriendly countries” – countries that have condemned the rf’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

As of January 1 last year, 433,000 people were held in russian prisons, 42,000 women included; in 2024, on the occasion of International Women's Day, putin pardoned only 52 women.

Citizens of Israel with russian citizenship will not be able to leave the rf until they receive a russian travel document. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs suggests that Israelis holding russian passports may be drafted into the russian army, as they are subject to russian laws and regulations.

The paramedic and obstetric stations set up to provide assistance in the villages of minsk and vitebsk regions need medicines, including the simplest ones, such as validol or diclofenac, and many medicines have expired, but continue to be used to treat patients.

Since August 2020, more than 8,000 belarusian women have been persecuted by lukashenko's regime, the Vyasna Human Rights Center said; 171 women are currently being held in prison under “political” articles.
