Sanctions against Russia may be the reason for the suspension of supplies of goods from Serbia to Russia, - said the assistant director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Bojan Stanic. “Further development of the political situation on the West-Russia line will affect Serbia's export potential, due to the risk of stopping trade flows between EU members and Russia, which could potentially stop the delivery of goods from Serbia. There are alternative routes, but the question arises of their economic feasibility, given the shelf life of products”, he said.
According to Stanic, given this, some companies have already begun to prepare for a reorientation to alternative markets. Most of the goods supplied to Russia are fresh and dried fruits, mainly apples and strawberries.
