Sweden has announced the 16th military aid package to Ukraine, which will be the largest for the country – it is worth SEK 13.3 billion (about EUR 1.16 billion). The new package includes ASC 890 radar reconnaissance and control aircrafts; the country's entire stock of Pansarbandvagn 302 armored personnel carriers (APC 302) for the new brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; the Rb 99 fighter robot (AMRAAM), which can be used both on aircrafts and in ground-based air defense systems; 155 mm artillery ammunition; surplus tanks that Sweden has; and resources for the maintenance of previously transferred equipment.

“...Ukraine's struggle is Sweden's struggle. We will support Ukraine for as long as it takes”, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson commented on the new military aid package to Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen has said that Ukraine can expect to receive 500,000 artillery shells by the end of 2024 as part of the Czech initiative to purchase them from third countries. At the same time, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala has said that “the first tens of thousands of 155-mm ammunition will be delivered in June”.
