The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a new package of $55 million to help Ukraine repair and support the operation of heating infrastructure in 19 regions of Ukraine. Also, the State Department has allocated $47.6 million to the American company Tetra Tech, Inc. to provide assistance to Ukraine in demining the territory.
The United States will make every effort to stop the supply of weapons by iran to the russian federation, said Spokesperson for the United States Department of State Ned Price. “We are concerned that russia may also seek to acquire advanced weapons from iran, such as surface-to-surface missiles, which will almost certainly be used in the war against Ukraine”, Price said. US officials say the secret supply of ammunition from North Korea, along with drones and other weapons which russia is buying from iran, is further evidence that even moscow's conventional artillery arsenals have been depleted during eight months of fighting.
On November 2, the Ministries of Economy and Energy and Foreign Affairs of Switzerland decided to join the EU sanctions against iran over its supplying drones to russia. The Swiss Federal Council emphasizes that it has already introduced far-reaching sanctions against iran, including financial, tourism and commodity sanctions.
Minister of Defence of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas is convinced that Ukraine needs to be provided with new anti-missile defense systems, and new sanctions should be introduced against iran. “If russia plans to place iranian missiles near the northern border of Ukraine, the need for anti-missile defense systems in the entire region is even greater.
