Yaroslav Stetsko, Ukrainian politician, one of the main ideologists of the Ukrainian national liberation movement and organizer of the struggle for the independence of Ukraine, leader of the OUN (b) (1968–1986), President of the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Peoples.

From the program article “Problems of the Ukrainian Revolutionary and Liberation Policy” (1960): “Our concept of liberation is the Ukrainian national liberation revolution, together with the liberation revolutions of peoples under the yoke of russian imperialism and communism, that is, peoples enslaved within the framework of the russian empire…”

“The restored Sovereign Unified State of Ukraine will be a revolutionary phenomenon also in the foreign-political, international aspect, because it will create a completely different concept not only in Eastern Europe, but in Asia as well: due to the collapse of the russian empire, which today covers the vast territories of two continents, there will be revolutionary changes in the composition of international forces around the world. Therefore, the restoration of the Ukrainian state belongs to the most important problems of world politics. But this cannot be achieved by any way of separate, isolated liberation, nor by way of diplomatic negotiations, only by a fundamental change of the current order in the East of Europe and in subjugated Asia, that is, through the collapse of the bolshevik empire” (BSA of the SZRU. - F. 1. - Case 13091. – V. 4. – P. 174).
