The European Union does not recognize russian passports issued to residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This is stated in a statement by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, reports DW. The EU has condemned decrees by president of the aggressor-country putin to simplify the procedure for granting russian citizenship and issuing russian passports to Ukrainian citizens living in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The European Union also condemns attempts to put the russian ruble into circulation alongside the Ukrainian hryvnia and to introduce a russian curriculum and change the language of instruction in schools in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions that are currently under the illegal control of invading russian troops, reads the statement.

Norway expressed its being interested in restoring the Ukrainian energy sector by joining current international initiatives to support Ukraine. In particular, the projects, which include providing directly equipment, materials, fuel for the needs of Ukrainian energy companies, as well as financial assistance. Another project that Norway can join is the implementation of a Memorandum between the Ministry of Energy and the United Nations Development Program on the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

The state-owned NNEGC Energoatom and the American Westinghouse Electric Company have agreed to build new nuclear power units and increase the supply of nuclear fuel. According to the agreements, the number of NPP power units to be built using AP1000 technology in Ukraine will be increased from 5 to 9. These are new generation reactors with the best performance in the industry and the ability to operate in shunting mode. It was also agreed to increase the supply of American nuclear fuel for the needs of all Ukrainian nuclear power plants and those that will be built in Ukraine within the framework of cooperation.

Northern Macedonia is ready to support Ukraine and will join as a co-founder the intergovernmental application to the European Court of Human Rights in view of the russian federation’s large-scale military invasion, which resulted in numerous civilian casualties.

The cult rock band Metallica managed to raise one million dollars to help Ukraine. The fundraising campaign started on April 4, and raised that amount within two months. According to the group's website, the money will be donated to the World Central Kitchen (WCK), which provides food to people affected by natural disasters.
