The World Bank has announced a new support package for Ukraine worth USD 750 million.
The EU Council has extended the term of the EU Military Assistance Mission (EUMAM Ukraine) for another two years and allocated EUR 409 million for its support.
By the end of 2024, Ukraine will receive for testing the air defense missiles from the Estonian company Frankenburg Technology that can shoot down drones.
“Firstly, to transfer all frozen russian assets to Ukraine. Secondly, to start training Ukrainian soldiers to operate Taurus missiles now, which will take some time, so that they can be deployed at the next opportunity, such as when russia bombs another hospital or commits other war crimes. This process should be a signal. And thirdly, to make it very clear that Ukraine will no longer fight with its hands tied on its own territory, but will be able to hit military targets in the rf within the limits allowed by international law”, said Roderich Kiesewetter, a member of the Bundestag from the Christian Democratic Union and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, outlining his vision of the prospects for cooperation between Germany and Ukraine.
“...If you are not at the table of a geopolitical game, you will be on its menu. The same can be said about Ukraine: Ukraine should be at the table, not on the menu. So we have to continue to support Ukraine's independence and sovereignty”, emphasized EU Chief Diplomat Josep Borrell.
Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh has reiterated the US commitment to continue military assistance to Ukraine until the end of the current Joe Biden administration.
At the European Political Community summit in Budapest, EU leaders called on Donald Trump to maintain support for Ukraine.

In 2021, the EU imported 5.4 million tons of fertilizers from the rf, in 2022 it reduced it to 4.2 million tons, and in 2023 – to 3.9 million tons. As part of the new package of anti-russian sanctions, the EU is discussing the introduction of increased duties on russian chemical products, mineral fertilizers included, which will further reduce russian imports. Poland has proposed to increase the duty on imports of fertilizers from the rf and the rb to 30%. It also wants to impose new duties on russian agricultural products and fish.
The US Department of Commerce has extended export bans on “russia” airline for another year.
In October, India cut imports of russian oil by 10%. “There are others who are ready to supply at the same competitive price,” said the country's Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri.
The Swedish company Ingka Group, which owns a chain of furniture and household goods shops, has sold its last asset in the rf – a distribution center in moscow region.
In January-October, China reduced its purchases of russian arctic crude oil grades – novy port, arco and varandey – by 21% compared to last year, to 4.9 million tons.
